Rebecca Abrams Named Campus President of Herzing University – Kenosha
KENOSHA, WI (June 13, 2011) – Rebecca Abrams was recently named campus president at Herzing University – Kenosha. In her new role, Abrams is responsible for all academic and financial operations of the campus, which employs 27 faculty and staff and serves nearly 300 students enrolled in its 21 associate and bachelor’s degree programs. The campus opened in September, 2009, and its first class will graduate on September 9, 2011.
“Rebecca Abrams is a terrific administrator who has grown through the ranks at Herzing and proven herself in several roles at the campus and regional management levels,” said Renée Herzing, president of Herzing University, which is based in Milwaukee and has 11 campuses across the United States plus an Online division. “I am thrilled to have her now leading our growing Kenosha campus and driving our efforts to meet the educational and career needs of students in the Kenosha area.”
Abrams joined Herzing University in 2003 as an admissions advisor at the Herzing University – Madison campus. After one year, she was promoted to director of admissions for the campus and in 2008 she was promoted again to regional director of admissions at Herzing’s home office in Milwaukee. Before joining Herzing University, Abrams worked in admissions for DeVry University and the International Academy of Design and Technology. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Benedictine University and an MBA from Herzing University, which she earned in 2009 while working for Herzing.
The Kenosha campus is one of the fastest-growing additions to the Herzing University family, adding several new degree programs since the campus opened less than two years ago, and expanding into 10,000 feet of additional classroom space in January 2011 to accommodate increasing enrollment.
