Herzing University Adds Second Location in Madison to Serve West-side Students, Names Montagnino as New Campus President

MADISON, WI (August 9, 2011) – Herzing University announced today that it has added a second location to complement its 40,000 square foot Madison campus and provide more convenient access to classes for its west-side students.  The new Herzing University – Madison West Learning Center is located at 3 Point Place in Madison in more than 12,000 square feet of leased space.The Herzing University – Madison West Learning Center will offer associate and bachelor’s degree programs in business and technology, which are some of the most popular programs at the Herzing University – Madison campus. 
 
In conjunction with the addition of this new location, Herzing University has named Chris Montagnino as its new campus president, and she is responsible for all academic and financial operations of both Herzing University – Madison and its satellite location, the new Herzing University – Madison West Learning Center.  In addition, Matthew Schneider has been promoted to Learning Center Director from his the role he has held since 2008 as Director of Admissions for Herzing University – Madison. 
 
“We are very excited to expand our dynamic and growing Madison campus to a second location that will be more convenient for our students and will provide additional space for classrooms, laboratories and online learning,” said Renée Herzing, president of the Herzing Educational System, which is based in Milwaukee and has 11 campuses in the United States. “Chris Montagnino is joining us at the perfect time as our new Madison leader, bringing a wealth of great experience and skills to continue helping our students succeed in their career-focused education programs.”
 
Chris Montagnino joins Herzing University – Madison after more than 15 years with the University of Phoenix, serving as campus director for the Greater Cincinnati and Dayton Campus for the past five years.  Her previous roles at the University of Phoenix include serving as a faculty member teaching online education courses, as well as Director of Enrollment for the Little Rock, Arkansas and Boston campuses.  Montagnino has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in political science from the University of Texas at El Paso, as well as a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix.
 
Matthew Schneider begins his new role as Learning Center Director after more than seven years with Herzing University – Madison.  He joined the organization in 2004 in the admissions department and has now been promoted four times to his current role where he will direct daily operations at the new Madison West Learning Center as well as the admissions function for both Madison locations.  Schneider has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration from Herzing University.
 
Herzing University – Madison and the Madison West Learning Center currently employ 85 people.
