Former Toledo Mayor Has Message for Toledo Graduates
TOLEDO, OH (October 7, 2011) – Carleton S. Finkbeiner, Toledo’s former mayor, will give the keynote address to the Herzing University graduating class of 2011 at 3pm on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the Maumee Indoor Theater, 601 Conant Street, Toledo.
Finkbeiner was the city’s longest serving mayor (twelve years) and before that served two years as vice mayor and ten years as a Toledo city councilman.
“We are proud to have Mr. Finkbeiner as our keynote speaker,” said Toledo campus president Greg Guzman. “It was under Mr. Finkbeiner’s direction that a relationship was forged to provide the residents of Toledo with a community university focused on educating residents and providing businesses with a nimble and career-focused educational environment.”
