Professional Aeronautics Program at Akron Institute
The Akron Institute of Herzing University Aeronautics program prepares students with the necessary skills and academic knowledge for entry-level positions in commercial aviation. Students in the Professional Aeronautics program will learn entry-level skills related to those areas of the commercial pilot profession and will be able to sit for the FAA pilot certification. Students will take general education and theory-based aviation classes at the Akron Institute (some classes will also be available for online delivery), and flight training is provided through a license agreement with American Winds Flight Academy.
