Birmingham Adult Learners
Many Herzing University students are Adult Learners. They’ve lived in the real world, and as a result have real-world responsibilities to tend to while advancing their education. Whether working full-time jobs, taking care of a family, or both, Adult Learners are not able to put their lives on hold to attend school.
It can also be challenging for adults to go back into student mode. The typical Herzing student has been out of school five-to-ten years or more, and many new students are worried about making the transition. They wonder it they’ll be able to keep up with the class, and if they will have access to help when they need it.

Meet Adult Learner, Ricky Holt
I chose to study the Bachelor of Science in Technology Management because it would give me a better chance for advancement in my current job as an electronics technician for the FBI.
I liked the technology management courses best because they gave me a better insight as to what my supervisors and bosses go through to run an office on a day-to-day bases.
