Our Graduate Success Stories

I chose to attend Herzing because of my family life. I was working a full time job at the time and Herzing provided me the benefits of coming and being able to attend school and being able to work a full time job at the same time.

Today, clients and patients demand higher levels of care.

According to The Bureau of Labor Statistics, EMTs and paramedics who have advanced education and certifications will enjoy the most favorable job prospects.

Preparing our graduates to pass their certification tests is a major part of the curriculum. Your level of certification will play a major role in what you can do and therefore definitely plays a major role in your career.

The National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certifies emergency medical service providers at five levels:

  3. EMT Intermediate/85 – More advanced training
  4. EMT Intermediate/99 – More advanced training
  5. Paramedic – Provide the most extensive pre-hospital care which may include administering drugs orally and intravenously, interpreting electrocardiograms (EKGs), performing endotracheal intubations, and using monitors and other complex equipment.
