Nursing (ASN) - Florida


This Associate of Science in Nursing degree program is approved by the Florida State Board of Nursing to prepare students to take the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and to begin a professional nursing career. Students are provided a foundation of general education including courses in the natural sciences, the social sciences, mathematics, and humanities as well as the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to work in a healthcare environment.

Theoretical instruction is complimented with clinical experience in a variety of healthcare settings in order to provide a broad, holistic, and reality-based understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a professional nurse.

This nursing education program is a candidate for accreditation by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission

The length of the program is 24 months. A minimum of semester credit hours is required for graduation.
