Herzing University - Madison campus has many organizations and clubs that allow students to get involved in their community and profession.

Electronics Technicians Association (ETA)

Electronics Technicians Association (ETA)
Chartered by ETA-I, Electronics Technicians Association—International. Project building, certification studying, construct and program miniature robots in conjunction with HCOP to be used in local competitions, etc. A general meeting is held the first Wednesday of the month. Subcommittees and officer meetings are held on the other Wednesdays.

Herzing Community of Networkers (HCON)

Herzing Community of Networkers (HCON)
Internal Projects include learning how to secure operating systems and applications and learning common tools and procedures for troubleshooting networks. Students do various Non-profit projects helping with hardware problems, general troubleshooting, or entering data into databases.

Herzing Coalition of Programmers (HCOP)

Herzing Coalition of Programmers (HCOP)
Programming Language Instruction Project - Languages: PHP, ASP, VB.NET, C#.NET, JAVA, C++, and HTML/CSS. Databases: Access, MySQL, and MS SQL Server. Create dynamic websites for Herzing organizations using PHP and MySOL. Programmable Battle Robots Project— Construct and program mini robots in conjunction with electronics students to be used in local competitions.

Student Nurse Association (SNA)

Student Nurse Association (SNA)
Aids in the development of the professional nurse role by providing experiences to enrich the nursing education by Herzing. Projects have included: A Health Fair where over 30 vendors attended and the organization donated $500 to Hospice Care Inc. from silent auction proceeds, class trip to see the Body World Exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry, volunteering for Toys for Tots distribution, and tour of the Nasco plant in Fort Atkinson.

American Design Drafting Association (ADDA)

American Design Drafting Association (ADDA)
Student chapter of an international organization that includes a $5 discount on membership and additional materials available to those who want to become certified drafters through ADDA. Annual activities and fundraisers, such as field trips to Parade of Homes and Madison Area Solid Works User’s Group (MASWUG) meetings, which covers 3-D Modeling and Technology Forums held at Herzing.

International Game Developers Association (IGDA)

International Game Developers Association (IGDA)
Student chapter of international organization. Students are able to build skills and connections within the game development industry. Activities include game development competitions, industry networking, and game tournaments. Check out more info at www.madtownigda.com.

Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO)

Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO)
College chapter of CEO, which is the premier entrepreneurship network with chapters on university campuses across North America. Mission is to inform, support and inspire college students to be entrepreneurial and seek opportunity through enterprise creation.

Herzing University Public Safety Students (HUPSS)
Supplements Herzing University’s public safety program by providing its members with experiences that aid in career path development, offering exposure to different law enforcement fields, and providing volunteer experience that contributes to the WI law enforcement community.

Herzing University Diversity Students (HUDS)
The mission of HUDS is to represent and support a diverse student and faculty body by breaking down barriers related to diversity. The lack of knowledge has often been the beginning of many a misconception through fear of the unknown. We strive to empower all people to seek an acceptance of one another through the accumulation of knowledge, experience and understanding.

Herzing Student Council (HUSC)

Herzing Student Council (HUSC)
HUSC provides students with a forum to allocate their student activity funds toward extracurricular activities that meet their interests and needs, and that enhance their university experience. The council also provides a forum for the faculty and staff of Herzing University—Madison to communicate with the students about university events, policy, and student issues.

Future Business Leaders

Phi Beta Lamba (PBL) - Future Business Leaders
Extra-curricular activities such as bowling, movies, lunches, and picnics. Fundraisers for Reach and Teach, Tsunami victims, new UW Hospital Children’s Wing, etc. Two state PBL conferences per year in the Fall and Spring which include seminars and competitions. Common subject areas for our students include Business Law, Accounting for Professionals, Information Management, Statistical Analysis, Computer Applications, Networking Concepts, and Human Resource Management.
