Dr. Markham AACN-Wharton Executive Leadership Fellow
Herzing University applauds Dr. Elizabeth Markham for her accomplishment in being selected for and completing the AACN/Wharton Leadership Program through the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. This program, run jointly by Wharton and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), is designed for university deans and top-level administrators of nursing schools to enhance their leadership skills at the highest level. Dr. Markham is one of just 57 graduates of this exclusive, nation-wide program.
The object of the course is to hone skills for managing and leading change, strategically influence and negotiate, skillfully strategize with external stakeholders, and lead or serve on high-powered boards. Program participants will use these skills to help shape not only nursing education, but also the delivery of healthcare at the local, state, and national levels.
Dr. Markham serves as the Dean of Nursing for Herzing University to ensure Herzing nursing students receive an excellent education, both academically and hands-on in state-of-the-industry nursing simulation labs and community based facilities, in order to be well prepared for entry into a career as a professional nurse upon graduation.
Congratulations to Dr. Markham for her outstanding achievement and her dedication to the health and safety to the public through excellence in the education of future nurses.
