Web Development

The purpose of the program is to prepare students with the necessary skills and academic knowledge for entry-level technical positions in a Web site development, administration and design environment. The program also provides an integrated approach to Web site design by providing instruction in client-side Web site design techniques and Web site management procedures through converging theoretical concepts and practical applications.

Courses that develop this integrated approach to Web site development include the study Web scripting languages such as HTML, XML, JavaScript, PHP, ASP and AJAX ; Web graphic packages such as Photoshop, Flash, and Fireworks ; and Web authoring tools such as Dreamweaver and SharePoint Designer

Program Listing of Courses:

Computer Operating Systems

This course is an introduction to the Windows XP operating system as well as the Vista operating system. Students install, configure and troubleshoot both operating systems and prepare for certifications in both systems
