Herzing Madison's campus Academic Dean, Brian WillisonWelcome to Herzing University – Madison. As Dean, it is my pleasure to tell you a little bit about our campus.

Herzing University - Madison offers students the opportunity to acquire an education and the skills necessary to enter or advance in a variety of careers. Here at the Madison campus, students will find faculty with both scholastic expertise and real-world understanding that enhances the learning experience. The benefits of both quality education and personal attention come with a campus our size.

Our student-centered approach recognizes education also occurs outside of the classroom. In addition to providing quality education in a wide variety of degree programs and disciplines, the Madison campus offers numerous opportunities for student involvement and personal enrichment. The campus has a very active student government, numerous program supported student groups, campus social events and community service activities.

Located in the Southern region of the U.S., Atlanta has mild weather and is rich in history, culture, and activities. Popular attractions in Atlanta include: Atlanta Botanical Garden, Atlanta History Center, Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Georgia Aquarium, Stone Mountain Park, Underground Atlanta, and Zoo Atlanta. The 25,000-square-foot Herzing University – Atlanta campus features among its many amenities a variety of labs, a library/resource center, and a student lounge. There are a range of housing options near the Herzing University – Atlanta campus, and getting around the city is easy by car or on MARTA, Atlanta’s rail and bus mass transit system.


Located in the Midwest region of the U.S., Madison has seasonal weather: pleasant in the spring and fall, warm in the summer, and cold and snowy in the winter. The people of Madison are culturally diverse and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities in and around the beautiful lakes that surround the city.

Herzing University – Madison is the main campus of the Herzing University System and is located in a newly developed technical and business park. It is 40,000 square feet in size and features among its many amenities advanced technology and equipment, a variety of labs, and a centrally located, glassed-in library and computer commons. There are a variety of housing options near the Herzing University – Madison campus, and getting around the city is easy by bicycle, car, or the Metro Transit bus system.


Located in the Southern region of the U.S., Orlando has mild and sunny weather and is a global tourist destination. Popular attractions in Orlando include a large number of theme parks such as: Discovery Cove, SeaWorld Orlando, Universal Orlando; Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom; and Wet ‘n Wild Orlando. Bachelor’s Degree Just Became More Affordable for NW Ohio Students 

TOLEDO, OH (Jan. 30, 2014) A third local school has joined a regional higher education consortium to help make obtaining a bachelor’s degree more affordable. The presidents of Herzing University – Toledo and Terra State Community College held a signing ceremony to announce the expansion of the P.A.C.E. (Partnership for Affordable College Education) program. The collaboration offers students the best of both worlds: the cost efficiencies of a community college education combined with the career-focused recognition of Herzing University. Paramedic Programs Earn Accreditation

BIRMINGHAM, AL, (July 2, 2013) – Herzing University – Birmingham recently earned accreditation for its Associate of Science and Diploma in Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic programs, a credential validating the quality of the programs, which will be important to students as they graduate and enter the job market. “We have worked hard since the programs were launched to ensure that we earned accreditation before the first classes graduate, and we are very pleased to have succeeded in this effort.” said Leo Deason, public safety department chair at Herzing University – Birmingham. Golf Tournament Raises Spirits and Funds for Wounded Warriors

The 2nd annual Virginia Wounded Warrior Program Charity Golf Tournament took place on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Aeropines Golf Club at the NAS Oceana Master Jet Base in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The event, sponsored by the Virginia Advisory Council on Military Education, raised $4,000 for the Wounded Warrior Program.

Members of the VACME work to provide educational opportunities for military members and their families, and Herzing University is proud of its affiliation.

Herzing helps Africans access clean water

Herzing University has partnered with WorldServe International as a sponsor of Kili Climb 2013 to raise funds to provide people in Africa with clean water. Herzing’s contribution came in the form of a significant donation towards Ron Holt’s $25,000 goal, which is enough to cover the cost of a water well that will serve an entire village. Holt was one of 45 outstanding individuals working toward this effort. He started the climb on January 8, 2013, and finally reached the peak of Kilimanjaro on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, proudly holding up a Herzing University banner.

U.S. News Ranks Herzing University #1 Online Program in Wisconsin

MADISON, WI (February 13, 2013) – U.S. News & World Report recently published its ranking of online education programs, and Herzing University was the highest-ranking Wisconsin-based online education program for Best Online Bachelors Programs. Herzing was ranked 80th in the country, followed by UW – Platteville at #85, UW – Milwaukee at #123, UW – Superior at #148 and UW – Green Bay’s ranking was not published.

Health Information Management Program Receives Initial Accreditation

MILWAUKEE (March 5, 2013) – Herzing University Online announced today that it has earned programmatic accreditation for its Associate of Science in Health Information Management degree program from the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).

 

Herzing University - Madison and the Urban League of Greater Madison announced a new partnership to help serve the employees and members of the Urban League in furthering their professional development and educational goals. This unique partnership with the Urban League will provide a special scholarship to Urban League employees, which will help lower the cost of pursing a degree. The partnership also includes one full scholarship for the Herzing University MBA program per year.

"Employees will be able to take advantage of diploma programs, associate, bachelor's, or master's degrees through the local campus. With the importance on education and finding a good career path, this aligns perfectly with the mission of Herzing University and the Urban League," said Mollie Stolbov, Community Relations Coordinator at Herzing University - Madison. "The expense of college can be too much for some, and the scholarship can help alleviate some of that burden."

The Urban League and Herzing University have a long history of working together and this new partnership solidifies the bond between the organizations. Both groups look forward to advancing the Madison community through education, training, and guidance on the path to personal and professional development. Vice President of Workforce Development, Inclusion, and Retention, Deirdre Hargrove-Krieghoff, believes this partnership will go far in advancing the opportunities for the organization's members.
