Course Description:

The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver CPR and AED (automatic external defibrillator) course offers knowledge and skills for saving lives. Participants will learn CPR and how to use an AED through a combination of the American Health Association’s student workbook as well as video and hands-on training. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a Heartsaver CPR AED course completion card.

Learning Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Initiate the “Chain of Survival.”
  2. Give CPR.
  3. Initiate early use of an AED.
  4. Provide appropriate rescue breaths.
  5. Relieve choking.
