Admissions

Undergraduate
There are two simple methods of applying for admission at Herzing University. You may apply online or in person at our campus. An essential aspect of the process involves an interview (Set up an Appointment) with one of our admissions advisors.
Our advisors are trained to provide you with important information in such areas as program content & description, scheduling, employment opportunities, and student services. We will also evaluate your aptitude and review your prior education to ensure that you meet the requisite criteria for admission.
Notice of non-discrimination: It is the policy of Herzing University that no one may be denied admission to the University on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age.

Admission Procedures
- Interview: Prospective students are expected to complete a Personal Information Record and interview with an Akron Institute of Herzing University admissions interviewer. The interviewer will provide information about programs, start dates, student services, and employment opportunities for graduates.
- Application: Once all admission requirements have been fulfilled, the interviewer will generally invite the prospective student to submit an Application Completion Form for admission to the University. The applicant will be notified in writing of the action taken by the University with respect to his/her application.
- Financial Aid: When an application has been accepted, the applicant must establish appropriate financial arrangements and complete the necessary documentation.
Acceptance and Enrollment
Once the applicant has completed these arrangements, signed a University Enrollment Agreement, and paid an enrollment fee, the applicant will be reviewed for acceptance. If accepted, the applicant is then considered an enrolled student and will be automatically registered for appropriate classes.Registration/Class Scheduling
Students do not have to register for classes; the University will schedule students for the applicable courses in each term based upon their program of study. Students will have the right to request adjustments to their schedule, which will be accommodated whenever possible.Application for admission is on a continuous basis; however, those who apply first are accepted first and enrollment is limited. No one will be admitted to class after the second day of the class unless approved by the Academic Dean and the Campus President.
