I was inspired to attend Herzing University after discovering that there was a campus in my state of Georgia and learning that I could earn transfer credits for past college experience.
My enrollment coordinator was instrumental in helping me navigate each step of the enrollment process. After looking into Herzing's degree programs and speaking with my enrollment coordinator, I knew pursuing a degree in healthcare management would be the best fit for my experience and previous education.
The challenge I faced while earning my degree was working a full-time job and learning to find a balance between work, family and school. However, Herzing encouraged me to complete the program at the pace at which I felt comfortable. The university’s tutoring staff and instructors offered endless support throughout my college experience and I graduated Magna Cum Laude while also receiving certificates for the President’s List and Dean’s List on several occasions.
After a 24-year career as a medical assistant, completing a degree in healthcare management enabled me to greatly expand my knowledge and experience in healthcare. Each class I took played a valuable part in preparing me for my career.
The best advice I can give a fellow student is to participate in discussions and study the material. This is a great school with exceptional instructors who are experts in their fields.
