The badging program is designed to recognize the mastery of key skills essential to workplace effectiveness. Badges are used to identify skills that typically would not be acknowledged on a university transcript. Badges are awarded after the completion of a summative task (such as a certification exam) or after the submission of multiple proficiency exams. All badges are created and evaluated by faculty. Badges are awarded to students who have demonstrated mastery of a particular skill.
P.R.I.C.E. of Success Badges
Herzing University’s educational and organizational philosophy was founded on core values that constitute the Herzing culture. These values are essential not only for personal development, but also serve as the foundation for a successful, meaningful career. These core values--professionalism, respect, integrity, caring, and engagement-- are encompassed in a framework called “P.R.I.C.E. of Success.” Students have the ability to develop these behaviors as part of their coursework; achievement of mastery is recognized with the award of a badge.
