Herzing University student Jermaine Baker recognizes the detrimental affect drugs and alcohol can make on a person’s life, and he is determined to help keep as many children and adults as possible from falling into a path of self-destruction.

To bring awareness to his East Toledo community, Baker and his neighbor joined forces to organize “Addicted to Change,” an event with games, food, and friendship all in the name of confronting the issue and fostering a neighborhood bond. Over 60 people enjoyed games, barbecue food, and raffle prizes such as tickets to Walleyes and Tigers games. Local business helped to fund the event.
