Minneapolis Educates Local Students about Careers in Dental Assisting

Herzing’s Minneapolis campus welcomed 20 Dental Occupations students from Northeast Metro 916 Career & Technical Center (CTC) to an open house March 5 that showcased Herzing’s dental clinic and lab. Herzing students led demonstrations to help visiting students learn about and become comfortable with typical dental assisting duties.

Following the demonstrations, staff from Herzing’s career services and admissions departments led a Q&A session about Herzing’s dental assisting program. The event concluded with a presentation from a Midwest Dental representative, who spoke to the students about career opportunities for dental assistants and dental hygienists.

“We were very excited to welcome CTC’s dental students to Herzing,” said Minneapolis Campus President Jason Morgan. “This event was a great opportunity to strengthen our partnership with CTC and also allow our students to showcase how much they’ve learned here at Herzing.”
