Jean Hernandez
I wanted to acquire highly supported theoretical and practical knowledge in the legal area with a schedule that suited my needs and available time. I already had prior knowledge, love and passion for working in the legal area as well as 13 years of public administration experience in my home country, Venezuela. Working with people in the legal field has always been one of my passions, and Herzing offered me the opportunity to do just that. Through them, I was able to prepare myself to do what I am passionate about in a program that was certified by the American Bar Association. Â Â Â Â
The biggest challenge for me was starting a university degree in a system that’s very different from Venezuela, as well as in another language. It was also a challenge to meet all the assignments required to get good grades while having both a full-time and a part-time job. From the beginning, I had guidance from my counselor about the different class schedules and further study modalities. I always had the support of the student help departments, online support and all the staff. In general, all the courses in the program were valuable. Most of the classes I took are specific courses in the legal area, and they helped me understand the applicable laws and procedures for my career.Â
I have had the opportunity and blessing of being an employee and occupying a position related to my career before I graduate. My next step will be to continue growing within the company I work for and continue to obtain an education through classes and updates offered by different organizations in the legal area.
If you are thinking of obtaining a paralegal degree, I invite you to join and enroll in Herzing to discover your love for a legal career. The sky is the limit, and everything is possible to achieve if you have interest and passion.
