I wanted to go to school for something in the medical field, and quickly found that Herzing had plenty of options. After some research, I decided that Medical Assisting sounded perfect to me since it offered everything I was interested in.
I felt connected to my teacher Mrs. Gordon in the latter part of my schooling. She always told me everything would be fine and encouraged me to keep trying my absolute hardest. I didn't encounter too many challenges, though it was hard finding a proctoring site due to the pandemic.
I’d say the time to complete each course was reasonable and the professors were understanding of my situation. They were always there to help, and I felt as if they truly wanted me to succeed! Every course and clinical was valuable and helped get me to where I needed to be and pass the program. I also wasn’t particularly surprised by any portion of the program, as they always kept me prepared and informed.
After graduation, I want to work for an OB/GYN clinic, but I’m open to working elsewhere. I also want to continue my education with Herzing University eventually.
I want future students to know that you can do anything you put your mind to! It may seem a bit overwhelming in the beginning, but it does get better in the end. The feeling of knowing that you're doing something to better yourself is a great feeling. Continue to strive for more, and don’t give up!
