With the online classes and the evening courses, I was able to work full-time and still be an active part of my daughter's life. It was tough work, and I've learned a lot, but most importantly, I'm proud of my accomplishments. The Herzing University instructors truly care about each of their students.
One teacher in particular, Isabel Simonetti, constantly reminded me that I could do this, even though it is hard. She took time out of her day to listen to us, to understand where we were coming from. When I felt I was having a tough time with my project, she spent time with me and actually listened. Having somebody like that when you're almost to the end, to remind you why you've worked so hard and to treat you like you are somebody, and not just another student in the hallway, is so important.
