Applicants to the MSW program who hold a BSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program can enroll with advanced standing equal to 24 graduate-level credits.

Yes. Herzing University assists you in finding a practicum site that matches your interests and career goals. The university also allows paid and employment-based practicums.

You’ll receive support from the Director of Field Education and have access to Practicum Readiness Training, Practicum Orientation and dedicated practicum courses. Herzing partners with a variety of agencies to help you complete your practicum in a setting and with a population that fits your area of focus.

The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) at Herzing University is a 36-month online degree program that covers foundational social work concepts and skills, including behavioral health theory, addictions, case management, psychosocial assessment and clinical diagnosis.

The BSW program is currently in pre-candidacy for accreditation by the Council on Social Work Education’s (CSWE) Board of Accreditation (BOA). Students admitted in the fall or later of the academic year in which the program is granted candidacy status may be retroactively recognized as graduates from a CSWE-accredited program, provided the program attains initial accreditation.
