Herzing University

Herzing University offers three online social work degree programs to help you find your pathway in the field: the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), the Master of Social Work (MSW) and the Advanced Standing MSW.

All three programs blend online, asynchronous classes with in-person practicum experiences. You can choose from full-time and part-time options.

There is no general minimum GPA requirement to apply for the bachelor’s degree program.

To apply for the master’s degree program, students must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.70 or better for all undergraduate courses attempted, or a GPA of 3.00 or better for at least 6.00 semester credit hours of graduate study—as evidenced by an official transcript from each college or university attended.

We design our programs to be appropriately challenging given the nature of the field. Finance can be a competitive, quickly evolving profession demanding dedication to lifelong learning.

As with any new skill, learning finance takes study, practice, and hard work. Your discipline and dedication can translate to a rewarding, lucrative career. We offer a host of student services for online students to help you succeed in your studies and prepare to excel in your career after graduation.

The next start date for both the bachelor’s and master’s degree program is September 8th.

We offer rolling admissions with 6 start dates per year and no application deadlines. You can apply now and prepare to start soon!

Students may choose to complete an internship in place of a capstone project, depending on program requirements and state availability. Internships are designed to help students apply classroom learning in a real-world business or finance setting while building professional experience before graduation.

Students are generally responsible for securing an internship site, with guidance and support from the university throughout the process. Some internships may also lead to future employment opportunities, although employment is not guaranteed.

Yes, the didactic coursework in the Finance program can be completed 100% online through Herzing's virtual learning environment.

If students choose the internship option in place of a capstone project, internship requirements may vary by state and site, so students should confirm eligibility with the university.
