Potential tracks for current RNs
We’ve designed pathways for nurses of all educational backgrounds to begin pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Nursing Leadership and Administration. Here are some pathway options you may consider:
ASN to MSN-NLA
Accelerate from an associate degree directly to a master’s in nursing leadership and administration.
- Time to complete: 20 monthsi
- Program: Accelerated RN to MSN-NLA
BSN to MSN-NLA
Bachelor’s degree holders may qualify for our MSN in Nursing Leadership and Administration program.
- Time to complete: 36 monthsi
- Program: MSN-NLA

New to nursing? Here’s where to start.
Nursing represents an exciting, challenging, and rewarding career path. We’re thrilled you’re already interested in becoming an influential decision maker with a graduate-level education. We can help you get there, but you’ll have to become an RN first before transitioning into a nursing leadership and administration program.
Associate degree
You can choose to earn a 2-year degree and take the fastest path towards becoming an RN. Our Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program is available at multiple campuses, with an online option available in select U.S. states.

Bachelor's degree
Start on the pathway to a bachelor’s degree and expand your nursing education in preparation for the NCLEX-RN exam. Depending on your prior education and experience, you can earn a BSN in around 2-3 years.

Master's degree
Current bachelor’s degree holders may be eligible for our online MSN Direct Entry program. After earning an MSN, you can then potentially enroll in a post master’s certificate program in nursing leadership and administration.
