Whether you’re looking for new opportunities or contemplating a career change, earning or advancing your degree is one way to take your career to the next level.
Earning my degree is something that I have wanted to accomplish since I was a young girl. I am currently enrolled in the healthcare administration program at Herzing University. I plan to continue my education and obtain a bachelor’s in healthcare administration.
Here are three reasons why I’m choosing to further my education to advance my career:
I grew up with a single mother and she worked very hard to support us. It was a struggle because we rarely saw her. I was too young to help her with paying the bills, but I decided that I didn’t want that life for myself when I grew up and had kids of my own. Earning my degree in healthcare administration will help me begin a career in a growing field that offers strong job security.
Family is important to me. I want to be a mother someday and provide a great life for my children. A career in healthcare administration will allow me to provide for my family and maintain a good work/life balance. Having a job that is 9 to 5, Monday through Friday, means that I can spend the weekends with my family.
Earning my degree will not only help me achieve the lifestyle I want, but it will also help me set a positive example for my future children and show them what it takes to be successful.
Another reason I am advancing my education is because I want a career instead of a job. A job is something that you do to make a living, but a career is something that you have a passion for. I want to be happy and do something I love.
I chose to pursue a degree in healthcare administration because someday I would like to be a become a healthcare manager. I have always been drawn to the healthcare field because I like to help people. Not everyone has the patience for a career in this field, but I like talking to people and being there for them in their time of need.
It is never too late to start reaching for the career you want. For me, earning my degree will help me achieve my personal goals and live the life I’ve always wanted.
