Terri Howard, who has developed and implemented DEI plans for multiple nonprofit organizations, government entities and companies large and small, is Herzing University’s Associate Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Herzing created the system-wide position to coordinate activities that further Herzing’s mission to serve students and enrich communities at the school’s nine campuses across the country and online.

Samantha Sprasky, who earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Herzing’s Kenosha campus in 2019, was recently nominated for a DAISY Award For Extraordinary Nurses. This prestigious award was created by The DAISY Foundation to recognize the work nurses do for their patients and families.

Herzing University announced it will open a new campus in Tampa, Florida, in early 2021. The Tampa campus will offer several nursing programs and pathways that are modeled after the programs at the school’s Orlando campus, which has graduated more than 1,000 nurses since 2006.

Herzing University’s Kenosha campus recently played host to its inaugural B.A.S.H. (Building a Stronger Herzing) Invitational, a fun-filled day of golf to support the rebuilding efforts of the city of Kenosha. The event received tremendous support from local organizations, and 110 golfers and more than 20 volunteers enjoyed an ideal day at the Petrified Springs Golf Course in Kenosha, Wis.
