Both degrees help you develop advanced nursing informatics knowledge and expertise, but they prepare you at different levels of nursing education and practice.
Our MSN in Nursing Informatics combines master's-level nursing preparation with focused study in informatics, including data, clinical systems, interoperability, governance, emerging technologies, workflow optimization, implementation, and applied practice.
The DNP is a practice-focused doctoral degree, adding doctoral coursework in areas such as improvement science, systems-based practice, leadership, evidence translation, and population health, along with a multi-course DNP Practice Project residency sequence.
The right choice depends on the scope of work you want to pursue. An MSN provides graduate specialty preparation; a DNP adds doctoral-level systems leadership and practice-change preparation.
