How it Works

How the program works

Academic coursework

Establish a strong foundation in didactic (lecture-style) courses, including general education courses which are completed online. Course topics include anatomy and physiology, functional kinesiology, pathophysiology, therapeutic exercise, and more.

Labs

Labs take place on campus in Orlando or Tampa and focus on practicing essential skills. These in-person sessions help you apply classroom knowledge before gaining experience in a real clinical environment.

Clinical education

After coursework and labs, you’re ready to put what you’ve learned to practice during the clinical practicum component of the program. We place you with a clinical site near you where you will earn your first direct experience and prepare for success as a professional PTA.
