Herzing’s Akron campus hosted a variety of activities during its Student Appreciation Week from Jan. 23-27, which celebrated students and their dedication to Herzing. Each day of the week featured a different food-themed event, including Ice Cream Day, Slushie Day, Hot Dog Day and Pizza Day -- a student favorite. Students also enjoyed the Chili Cook-Off on Jan. 24 that featured eight contestants and awards for first, second and third place.

Thirty-two Herzing nursing graduates received their pins at Madison’s pinning ceremony on Jan. 14, 2017. The students earned an Associate of Science in Nursing degree and will soon take the NCLEX Exam for their Registered Nursing License. Good luck, graduates!

All three are currently employed at the Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Herzing wishes them continued success in their careers!
Our RN to BSN program option has experiential learning courses, as required by our accrediting body, CCNE. These experiential learning courses are specially designed for experienced nurses and do not include hands-on patient care (no traditional clinicals), but rather problem solving in the field. For example, in the Community Health course, students identify a program in the community and work with a community liaison to develop a solution.
North Canton, Ohio (Dec. 21, 2016) – Students with an associate degree from Stark State College will have a new, more flexible option to earn a bachelor’s degree, thanks to a partnership announced with Herzing University.
Dr. Bankey was recently appointed to the board of directors for the Central Florida Disability Chamber of Commerce. He will have a special focus on the chamber's veterans business initiative. Dr. Bankey is a veteran of the U.S. Army and currently oversees military and veterans affairs at each of Herzing’s campuses.
Herzing’s Toledo campus put on its annual Christmas event on Dec. 21, featuring five families it had adopted for the holiday season. Children took pictures with Santa, created cards and took home some goodies. The families were presented with gifts.
