(April 21, 2016) – Following on the unprecedented success of its Vet2RN access initiative, Herzing University is launching a Vet2IT access initiative that makes it easier for military veterans to earn information technology degrees by giving them credit for military experience. The Vet2IT access initiative is available through Herzing’s 11 campuses and online.

KENOSHA (Dec. 17, 2015) – Herzing University, which has campuses in eight states, and Test Prep Seminars, one of the country’s largest test preparation organizations, today announced a first-of-its-kind nationwide partnership. The multi-faceted preparation program will include tutoring for the SAT and ACT along with educational sessions for parents and teachers, beginning at select Herzing University campuses in early 2016.

ATLANTA (June 15, 2015) – Herzing University, a private nonprofit institution, today expanded its nursing program option at its Atlanta campus, allowing registered nurses to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing in as little time as 12 months. The program is designed so that RNs can complete the coursework on a flexible schedule, and offers a hybrid structure of in-person and online learning.

KENOSHA (Dec. 15, 2015) – The Mary Lou & Arthur F. Mahone Fund is proud to announce its partnership with Herzing University’s Kenosha campus to provide two full-tuition and 14 partial-tuition scholarships to local students who are interested in pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree through the Herzing University system.

The scholarships are part of a growing collaboration between the two prominent Kenosha-area institutions to support community education efforts.

MILWAUKEE (Oct. 21, 2015) – Herzing University introduces its “DEGREE UP” initiative, partnering with technical and community colleges to make it easier for thousands of associate degree seekers to earn a  bachelor’s degree.

DEGREE UP gives students who attain an associate degree the option of achieving a bachelor’s degree from Herzing University while remaining on their current college campus.

MILWAUKEE (June 2015) – Herzing University, long time supporters of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee, announced today it will give the gift of education to club members through 50 full-tuition scholarships over 10 years to students who are active members of the organization, beginning in August 2016. The surprise announcement came from Herzing University President, Renee Herzing, during a Boys and Girls Club event and coincides with the university celebrating 50 years of excellence in education.

Madison, WI (Jan. 22, 2015) – Herzing University will celebrate the graduation of 80 students the morning of Friday Jan. 23, 2015, followed by an evening gala event to mark the Wisconsin-based school’s 50th anniversary.

During the 10:30 a.m. graduation ceremony at the Alliant Energy Center, 1919 Alliant Energy Center Way, Madison, Michael Johnson, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County and Renee Herzing, CEO and President of Herzing University, will speak.

MILWAUKEE (Jan. 28, 2015) – Herzing University will mark its 50th year of excellence in providing students with career-focused education during an evening gala on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency, 333 W. Kilbourn Ave.

The school, which was incorporated in Milwaukee 50 years ago to the day of the event, has graduated more than 10,000 Wisconsin students in a wide variety of fields. Currently, about 1,400 students are educated at the Kenosha, Brookfield and Madison campuses, as well as hundreds of students who attend online from throughout the state.

Jenny Kleinert, a 2009 graduate of Herzing-Madison, received the 2016 Psychiatric Nurse of the Year Award from the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. According to the chapter’s website, it annually awards a nurse who “demonstrates vision, perseverance, dedication, initiative and facilitation in the delivery of mental health services to individuals, families and their communities.”
