I chose Sterile Processing because I wanted a career in healthcare where I could help patients and be part of the medical field. I chose Herzing because I wanted to go back to school and work toward a better career for myself and my family. I liked that the program worked well with my schedule and would help me prepare for a career in sterile processing.
The people who were most helpful to me during my time at Herzing were my family, especially my husband, children, and my mom. They encouraged me when I was tired or stressed and reminded me not to give up. Their support meant a lot to me because balancing school, work, and family was not always easy.
One of my biggest challenges was balancing school, work, and my family. There were times when I felt overwhelmed and tired, but I reminded myself why I started. I stayed organized, managed my time, and kept pushing even when I wanted to give up. Herzing gave me a flexible schedule that allowed me to balance school, work, and my family. The program kept me on track so I could finish on time.
After graduation, my goal is to find a job as a Sterile Processing Technician and get some hands-on experience in the field. I also want to continue learning and eventually work my way toward becoming a Surgical Technologist. I’m excited to finally put what I learned at Herzing into practice and start the next chapter of my career.
My advice is to stay focused and don’t give up. Take your time learning the material and ask questions when you don’t understand something. It will be worth it in the end.
