I decided to attend Herzing University because the staff were not pushing me to sign up the very day I called and asked questions. Many other schools wanted me to sign up right away, but I was doing my research to find the best college for me. In the end, I decided Herzing was right fit because the online program option made it convenient for me to go back to school.
Being able to complete classes online was a tremendous advantage. I have two children and a full-time job, so going to campus for class seemed impossible with my work schedule. I chose the online program because I was able to balance my schedule in a way that would allow me to be successful in school.
My professors were great. When I had a question, I could quickly get in contact with my instructor. The academic resources that Herzing offered were also excellent. My favorite was the writing center. I could submit a paper for review and they would make suggestions on my writing.
During my time at Herzing, my grandma passed away. It was very difficult for me because she was so supportive of me getting my degree. I got lost for a little, but it didn’t affect my determination to finish because I knew that my grandma would be so proud of me. I studied hard and reached my goal. I even graduated with honors.
I am excited to say that I have been working as a registered medical assistant for Anderson Medical Group for almost a year and I have loved every moment. I would tell other students that you shouldn’t let anyone stop you from pursuing your dream or goal in life. Studying hard and doing well in school may take some time, but the end result is very rewarding.
