While I didn’t know what I wanted to do as a career, I did know I wanted it to be something in healthcare. To figure things out, I took a career quiz that pointed me to medical assisting. After taking a bit of time to research the career further, it felt like a great fit, so I decided to go for it at Herzing.
The supportive teachers and staff at Herzing guided me through my options and checked in regularly. Though all the courses were beneficial, mastering vital signs and blood drawing proved most valuable. I was surprised at how quickly I grasped the material!
Balancing a full-time job with clinical hours posed a challenge, but persistence and effective time management saw me through to the end. My hard work paid off and I secured a job at the clinic where I completed my clinical hours!
Now that I’ve finished this program, I will be returning to Herzing to earn my associate degree in medical assisting. I can’t wait to further my career!
