I chose Herzing University because it fits great with my schedule, and was reassured by the number of people in their 30's attending. It’s helpful to attend class with like-minded people who all understand the importance of earning their degree.
Since I’m a dad, finding a balance between caring for my son and school was difficult. Caring for my son was certainly a priority, but I also needed to succeed in my classes. Though finding that success was tough, creating a game plan and sticking to it was incredibly helpful in achieving both of these responsibilities.
I enjoyed the majority of my classes, but Cyber Security, in particular, taught me a lot and stood out in my mind. It involved learning about the nation’s technological security, which is very important to be knowledgeable about for my career.
After graduation, I will be applying to many federal criminal justice departments to officially start my new career!
