I’ve worked in healthcare all my life and came to Herzing because it was a cost-effective school with a comprehensive curriculum.
During my time at Herzing, the main challenge I faced came from having major surgery. After the surgery, I was released on a Wednesday and immediately started my studies again the next day on Thursday. While I was in recovery for 8 weeks, the soreness made it so that I could hardly move or eat. Regardless, I pushed forward so that I could make it through school.
During this time, I found myself surprised by the aid my instructors provided to me. They were very helpful and understanding during my time of need. My advisor also proved to be very informative and helpful by ensuring that I remained on task.
In this program, I had 8-week classes with zoom meetings. The most helpful of which were Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy & Physiology, as they really helped me understand the human body.
Now that I’m finished, I will be working at a cardiovascular clinic while I decide between returning to nursing school or earning my Master's in Counseling.
To all prospective students: please consider Herzing! Their curriculum is very challenging and rigorous, but also beneficial and informative. The work honestly prepares you for your future career!
