Initially, I was simply browsing on the Internet when I found Herzing University. After asking around and doing some research, I also heard a lot of positives about Herzing that prompted me to apply. I took some time to look into their programs and chose medical assisting because I have a passion for working with and helping people.
The university’s Career Development Department, instructors and student advisors all helped me find success. They were there to advise and guide me in all sorts of ways that really helped me achieve my goals.
In terms of classes, Medical Labs 1 and 2 were the most helpful to me when it came to preparing for my career. Overall, I felt very prepared and helped in my classes. In fact, the only challenge that I faced was when I had surgery on the day my classes started. Due to this, I started late on my clinicals, but they gave me more time to finish and helped me find a clinical site to stay on track.
Now, I plan on finding a job with a local healthcare system in Charlotte, North Carolina or Monroe, North Carolina. If you’re wondering if you should attend Herzing, I would recommend it! They will help you in any way that you need, and I had a positive experience.
