My brother’s girlfriend attended Herzing University before me and told me that Herzing had great healthcare programs. At her recommendation, I looked into Herzing and eventually chose to study Medical Office Administration. I chose my program because I wanted to be in the medical field but not do something that would take away time from my family.
The main challenge I faced during my studies was working a full-time job, being a full-time mom and going to school all at once. Thankfully, my student advisor was helpful throughout my time at Herzing and helped me stay on track.
I found that deadlines were easy to meet and ensured that I was getting assignments in on time. The course that helped me the most during my program was Office Management. It showed me all the things I should do as a medical office admin assistant, which is very important!
The next step after graduation is to apply for jobs and actively search for better opportunities. I love Herzing, and one day, I will be back to study even more!
