Before starting at Herzing, I began working at a skilled nursing facility and realized right away that I was meant to serve in this field. As a full-time mom and employee, I knew that I needed to take the next steps to secure my career in Healthcare Management. After doing some research, I realized that Herzing was the right fit for me.
I worked full-time and raised my family while I worked toward my degree. It certainly wasn’t easy, especially since I suffered many personal losses and separated from my husband along the way. It took me a long time to complete my degree, but I did it! I couldn’t have done it without the support of the Herzing staff or great online modality. I can confidently say that I know earning my degree has made me more marketable in my field.
I'm now hoping to find a preceptor to help me become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the state of Wisconsin. I will continue to work hard toward my goals.
