I chose Herzing because it was close to home, provided the ability to complete classwork online and allowed me to keep my full-time job. During my time here, my instructors all made sure to reach out and assist me when I needed it most, which was excellent.
The coding portion of my classes was definitely the most helpful portion of my education. It applies heavily to my career, and I hope to become certified in coding and continue down that path after school. I was mostly surprised by the attention to detail needed to code but found myself enjoying it regardless.
Not everything was easy, however! The main challenge I faced was managing school and working full-time during a pandemic. Due to COVID, the field of cosmetology was hit hard, which is where I was working at the time.
Thankfully, I took and used this negative as an opportunity to focus on bettering my education and making a positive change for myself. I knew never to give up, and always look to learn something new every day!
