I’ve always wanted to work in healthcare and figured medical assisting would be a good place for me to get started. I was happy to find that Herzing offered the ability for me to learn at my own pace. With that in mind, I decided to attend so I could better manage school while staying employed.
While learning, I found balancing homework, an externship and my job to be a bit tricky. Thankfully, I had some assistance along the way!
Alana Wood helped throughout my externship and always replied to my emails promptly. The proctorship program helped prepare me for that externship and got me comfortable with patient care. Lastly, my externship facility helped by allowing me to bring my computer in so that I could work on homework during breaks.
I am amazed at how fast everything went! If you're thinking about going back to school, do it. This program was only eight months for a career you can work in for the rest of your life, and it’s worth it!
