I have worked in the medical field most of my life and wanted to continue to do so as a Medical Assistant. While researching schools, I found that Herzing had an online program that allowed me to work while studying, so I decided to enroll. I’m glad I did, as it was a very good program that had great people to work with!
When I first started, I found it hard to get a routine down, but I eventually found my rhythm. My professors had their lessons planned out very well to keep you moving so that you finish in the timeframe you’re supposed to.
While I learned plenty in my courses, I believe that my clinicals proved to be the most important aspect of the program. I found that the skills I was taught during them truly applied to my education and future career.
Once I finished the program, I’m proud to say that I got a job in my field right away! I’m very happy with my career choice and definitely want to encourage others to pursue it. It’s a very fulfilling career, and there are a lot of different jobs out there to choose from.
