Herzing University-Brookfield Opens New Campus
Herzing University-Brookfield students and faculty started school this week at a brand new campus at Brookfield Square.
The building – which is about one mile from the previous Brookfield campus – was renovated over the summer, and features upgraded classrooms and common areas, in addition to more nursing labs and a larger physical therapy assisting clinic.
Herzing University-Atlanta Welcomes Visiting Professors from China
Herzing University-Atlanta was excited to welcome five visiting professors from the East University of Heilongjiang in Harbin, China to campus this summer.
Over the course of their four-week visit, the Chinese professors sat in on Herzing business classes to observe the U.S. teaching environment, taught entry-level Chinese classes for interested staff, faculty and students, and toured the Atlanta metro area.
Herzing-Atlanta and Life South Blood Center Team Up for Community Blood Drive
On August 13, Herzing University-Atlanta organized a community blood drive in partnership with Life South Blood Center, a local, non-profit blood bank serving more than 100 hospitals in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. The event was held at Woodruff Park in downtown Atlanta, adjacent to the new Herzing-Atlanta campus.
Herzing-Orlando Nursing Students Provide Nearly 400 Vision Screenings for Community
From volunteering with local organizations to leading wellness clinics for the community, Herzing nursing students strive to make a difference by taking their knowledge outside the classroom.
On August 3, 2019, nursing students at Herzing’s Orlando campus volunteered at Hope Now Foundation’s Back to School Bash, providing nearly 400 vision screenings for children and their families at no cost.
Herzing University Celebrates New School Year with Annual Supply Donations
For the fourth consecutive year, Herzing University has provided thousands of backpacks full of school supplies to help prepare children for the upcoming school year.
Throughout July and August, Herzing campuses distributed more than 3,000 backpacks. The backpacks and supplies were provided to children at events in Wisconsin, Ohio, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, Alabama and Louisiana. Some campuses also organized back-to-school parties and open house events for local families.
CPR Saves Lives, Says Herzing University-Kenosha Nursing Student
Bob Schmidt is ever grateful for Herzing University-Kenosha nursing student Brian Smallcombe, whose CPR training and quick thinking saved his life back in March. The 66-year old had been playing pickle ball with his wife when he suddenly collapsed, unconscious and not breathing. It appeared he had suffered a heart attack.

Herzing University Announces New Orlando Campus President
Herzing University has announced the appointment of Jeff Cross as president of its Orlando campus, where Herzing offers several areas of study, including a growing nursing program.
Cross has more than 20 years of higher education experience and will drive initiatives designed to enhance student experience, retention and graduation outcomes. He will also strengthen Herzing’s relationships with healthcare providers, businesses and community organizations across the Orlando area.
