The Herzing University - Akron campus showed their holiday spirit by donating a "Herzing Cares" tree to the annual Tree Festival, which supports the Akron Children’s Hospital. To better meet the needs of busy students, Herzing University - Toledo is expanding its Medical Assisting program to include an evening option!

Herzing University - Toledo, 5212 Hill Ave., will host an Open House on Wednesday, December 11, from 5 to 8 pm.

The open house is a perfect time for prospective students, parents, and the public to check out the campus informally, get more information on program offerings, and talk one-on-one with the instructors and department chairs. New students are welcome to apply for the next semester, which begins January 6, 2014.

Nursing instructor Chris Tackett receives Teacher of the Year award

On Friday, November 1, seven faculty and staff members attended the Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools Teacher and Placement Workshop in Columbus, Ohio. During the luncheon, Nursing Faculty Chris Tackett was presented the prestigious Teacher of the Year award. The Akron Campus also received an award for 30 years of membership in the State Association. Shown here are Chris receiving her award and a copy of the Akron Campus's plaque.

Herzing University - Orlando Campus supported "National Make A Difference Day" on Saturday, October 26. This year's contribution was sending students and staff out to Casselberry Elementary School to do some painting and yard work. As the photos show, they had a great time making a difference for the betterment of the community.

For more than 20 years, USA Weekend Magazine and Points of Light have joined together to sponsor Make A Difference Day, the largest national day of community service.

Herzing dental hygiene and dental assisting students are basically BFF’s with Jared Allen and the Minnesota Vikings… OK, maybe not BFF’s, but most students who attended TeamSmile’s recent event had the chance to meet and snap a quick photo with Jared Allen and other Vikings players. However, bumping elbows with Minnesota athletic fame was not what made the day great.

On Tuesday, October 22, 2013, Herzing University’s Minneapolis campus hosted its first ever Online Connection Dinner.  Students taking all online courses enjoyed dinner while making student-to-student connections and learning about strategies for taking online course successfully from Online Student Services advisor Chris Spangler.  The evening provided the opportunity for both current students and new enrollees to talk about the benefits of online education and exchange bes

Students, alumni, faculty and staff at Herzing University’s Minneapolis campus created something special with their second installment of Herzing from the Heart. Recognizing a need in the community for children to have greater access to dental care, Herzing - Minneapolis pooled its resources and created an event offering free dental cleanings, sealants, fluoride treatments, and x-rays to kids aged 4-17.

Representatives of the Herzing University Enterprise Learning team exhibited at the Midwest Security & Police Conference on August 20-21, 2013 in Tinley Park, Illinois. The 2013 Conference included presentations from the FBI, Homeland Security, social media experts, cyber-crime specialists and State & Local law enforcement professionals.
