The MSN to DNP in Nursing Informatics combines this informatics coursework with doctoral study in improvement science, collaborative practice, professional leadership, systems-based practice, scholarship, population health, and a four-course DNP Project Residency sequence.
For an MSN-prepared nurse, the question is less about learning “more informatics” in the abstract and more about the scope at which you want to use it. The DNP is designed for nurses who want to apply informatics through systems leadership, evidence-based improvement, implementation, and organizational decision-making.
