Thanks to advances in video technology, online tutoring has never been easier or more personal. As an online student, you don’t have to worry about not having the same access to academic support that you would on campus. Today, you can get the tutoring help when it is convenient for you in the comfort of your own home.

Check out these online tutoring tools:

1. Tutoring Center

Herzing University students have access to the university’s free online Tutoring Center. All of Herzing’s academic coaches are master’s-level experts in their fields. They are also familiar with Herzing’s course materials, so they can help you understand specific course assignments and concepts. The best part about Herzing's tutoring center is that it's FREE  to you as a student.

2. Mometrix Academy

Mometrix’s Tutoring Center is a hub for informational and instructional videos that can help students review key concepts and terminology for a variety of subjects, including math, English, writing, medicine, finance, business and more.

Mometrix also offers test preparation resources, such as free practice questions, video lessons and study guides for industry certification exams such as the NCLEX.

3. 24 Hour Answers

24 Hour Answers is an interactive online tutoring resource. Live tutoring sessions range from $15 to $45 per hour. The company’s tutors all have advanced degrees in their respective fields of study and can assist students at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Students can also request help with specific homework assignments via the website’s homework help portal. Also, as the name suggests, all of these services are available 24/7.

4. Chegg Tutors

Submit a question to Chegg Tutors and the platform will match you with a tutor who can work with you immediately. The live lesson space includes a virtual whiteboard, a text and code editor and the ability to chat with your tutor via text, audio or video. Check out a lesson demo space here. Your first 30 minutes with Chegg Tutors are free. After that, you can purchase a subscription for Chegg Tutors at a rate of $15 per week.

It is easy to set up a standing appointment with your tutor if you would like to meet weekly to review assignments for a specific class. Search for available tutors and schedule an appointment online in Blackboard. We all need a little help from time to time, and it’s never been easier to get the assistance you need. With any of these online tools, you’ll be able to improve your schoolwork and get the grade you deserve!
