
Herzing’s Brookfield campus and Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) hosted a lunch and learn for local RNs and Associate-level nursing students at the WCTC Pewaukee campus on February 20. The discussion focused on the future of Wisconsin nursing, specifically the employment opportunities available for RNs in the greater Milwaukee area.
The event featured a distinguished panel, facilitated by Herzing’s Brookfield Nursing Department Chair Dr. Deborah Zeibarth. Other speakers included Tammy Wimer, Children’s Hospital RN Case Manager; Becky Pogacar, Director of Nursing Operations for Aurora Health Care; Nancy Healy, Public Health Manager for Waukesha County Public Health Division and Susan Austin, Herzing University Program Chair, RN-BSN. Each panelist brought a unique perspective to the discussion, highlighting the importance and the benefits of obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).
