It isn’t an easy decision to start college, and it can be difficult to find a school that aligns with your personal and career goals. Fortunately, when I was looking at colleges, I realized that Herzing University was right for me, and it’s certainly still the case.
Here are some reasons Herzing is the ideal school for me and why it might be a good choice for you as well!
1. Recommendation from a friend
Reading college reviews can be helpful, but getting firsthand information is often even more valuable. A friend and former classmate recommended Herzing University-Kenosha to me; she had transferred there from where we both attended school and encouraged me to check it out.
This inspired me to visit the campus, which was an important next step so I could understand better if it was the right fit.
2. Transfer of Credits
If you have previous college credits, you should make the most use of them! Colleges vary on how many credits they will allow you to transfer, so make sure to ask the admissions staff before you apply.
Herzing University accepted my credits from the schools that I’ve attended previously. The admissions staff helped me through the process of application and admission.
3. Nice and Friendly Environment
I knew that I wanted to go to a school where I would be welcomed and accepted. The Herzing environment has always given me good vibes and hope for my future. Ever since my first day at Herzing University-Kenosha, to the day I had a Zoom meeting with the president of the Herzing University and up to this day, everyone at the campus and online has been so nice, kind and friendly to me. I like Herzing’s optimistic and happy atmosphere. They treat me like family.
No matter what school you go to, being in a positive environment that encourages you to be yourself and succeed will help you reach your full potential. It is amazing how you can just tell with some schools that it is the place that you want to be!
4. Options
The whole point of earning your education is not only to graduate but to attain your career goals afterward! Opportunities for growth and career advancement are within reach at Herzing. There are many options, programs and career paths you can choose from.
You should go to a school where you feel safe and know that you will leave with the confidence, skills and degree you need to attain your future goals.
5. Diversity
At Herzing, I’ve seen people from all walks of life. The students I’ve met and who were my classmates at Herzing University were very diverse. It helps with the learning experience as we learn from each other’s cultures, backgrounds and life stories. It would be so boring if we all had the same background and story! I believe our diversity empowers and strengthens us as a nation and a community.
You should try to grow out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself to look outside of yourself and your experiences. College is all about learning in the classroom as well as welcoming an opportunity to expand your horizons!
