What is technology management?

Technology management professionals, such as IT managers, help organizations assess and implement short and long-term tech needs. This can include software, hardware, and telecommunications. They provide executive guidance on how to best use technology to help business operations run efficiently.

While technology managers possess the expertise to carry out specific IT-related tasks, they generally delegate these tasks and focus on supervision and larger initiatives.

Projects IT managers may oversee include:

  • Data security
  • Hardware and software upgrades
  • Vendor selection and negotiation

Herzing’s Kevin McShane to Support Student Debt Task Force in Wisconsin

Herzing’s Vice President of Financial Aid & Compliance Kevin McShane has been appointed to serve on Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers’ Task Force on Student Debt. The new Task Force was created to address the growing levels of student debt across the state by assessing the causes of student debt, providing long-term strategies to reduce education-related debt, and finding ways to improve loan education.

The first meeting of the task took place virtually on May 13, 2020.

Herzing University Provides Nationwide Help for Medical Professionals During Coronavirus Crisis

Herzing University campuses nationwide have stepped up to help healthcare workers who are on the frontlines of the most challenging healthcare crisis in many decades.

Herzing, which graduates thousands of nurses and other healthcare professionals each year, has donated much-needed personal protection equipment (PPE) to hospitals nationwide, provided volunteer help to healthcare providers and purchased meals to local healthcare professionals.

Herzing Announces Alliance with Wisconsin Assisted Living Association

Herzing University has announced a new partnership with the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association (WALA) that will provide exclusive benefits to members of the organization. WALA members can take advantage of tuition reeducation scholarships for any degree at Herzing, including the online RN-to-BSN program. Herzing will also waive application and enrollment fees for members.

The benefits are applicable at all three of Herzing’s Wisconsin campuses and online.
