Dr. Bankey was recently appointed to the board of directors for the Central Florida Disability Chamber of Commerce. He will have a special focus on the chamber's veterans business initiative. Dr. Bankey is a veteran of the U.S. Army and currently oversees military and veterans affairs at each of Herzing’s campuses.
Herzing’s Toledo campus put on its annual Christmas event on Dec. 21, featuring five families it had adopted for the holiday season. Children took pictures with Santa, created cards and took home some goodies. The families were presented with gifts.

(Dec. 13, 2016) – Herzing University, an accredited private nonprofit institution with 11 campuses in eight states and an online division, has expanded its nursing program to include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at its Madison, Wisconsin, campus. With no waitlist for enrollment, the accessible program is being launched to help fill the statewide gap of nearly 20,000 nurses by 2035 as projected by the Wisconsin Center for Nursing.

(Nov. 29, 2016) – Herzing University, an accredited private nonprofit institution with 11 campuses in eight states and an online division, announced today that it has earned the 2017 Military Friendly® School designation by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs® and Military Spouse. This is the fifth consecutive year that Herzing University has earned the Military Friendly® distinction.
On Saturday, December 3rd Herzing hosted its second annual Winter Wonderland event at the Brookfield campus. Students, their families and several visiting families from Waukesha County attended the celebration. The Brookfield President’s Council provided a complimentary pancake for all attendees. The event also included cooking decorating, holiday movies, coloring and a Minute to Win It game room. The Brookfield massage students provided complimentary chair massages for parents worn out from shopping and cookie baking.

Throughout November, the Omaha School of Massage and Healthcare hosted a donation drive to support the MICAH House, a local homeless shelter. Through generous donations from clinic clients, staff and students, they collected 468 rolls of toilet paper and 780 diapers.
In addition, thanks to donations from campus students, faculty and staff, the Kenosha campus Phi Beta Lambda business club donated four full Thanksgiving meals to families in need.
