If you need help prioritizing your responsibilities, this app has you covered. Borrowing from an established time management method, this app makes you choose one big task, three medium tasks and five small tasks to complete each day. This can help you visualize what needs to be done first and what can wait until later. If this method isn’t your thing, the app also allows you to customize lists in a way that works for you.

3. RescueTime

This app helps you find the right work-life balance by showing you where you spend the most time online. This app offers a unique “productivity score” based on your internet habits, as well as detailed reports on which websites and applications you spend the most time on, so you can weed out the browsing habits that are holding you back from being productive. You can also set goals for yourself that play into your productivity score.

A premium subscription even gives you the option to block certain websites for times when you want to minimize distractions and get to work.

4. Wunderlist

Perfect for a group project, Wunderlist allows you to easily share documents and communicate with friends, classmates, family and colleagues. Even if you aren’t working on a group project, this app is still a powerful resource to manage your personal schedule, create lists and set due dates and reminders for yourself.

5. Clear Todos

Designed for Mac OS and iOS devices, Clear Todos is another simple time management system perfect for the adult learner. In addition to creating a daily to-do list, Clear allows to you to organize your life into separate categories, with different themed lists for school, home, work, etc. The app also holds you accountable to the goals you set for yourself with reminders and push notifications throughout the day.
