The utility of a health sciences bachelor’s degree in your educational journey
The health sciences program is designed to fit into a wide variety of different educational pathways in healthcare. You may consider the degree program in a number of different ways depending on where you are in your career.
I don’t have a degree
If you have yet to earn a degree or do not yet work in healthcare, you may:
- Apply for the BS in Health Science program right now and plan on pursuing job offerings in community health, health education, or health promotion
- Choose to enroll in a diploma or associate degree program in a focused area with a clearly defined career outcome; consider the BS in Health Sciences in the future for further career advancement
I have a diploma/associate degree
If you already work in healthcare, you can potentially transfer substantial credit into a BS in Health Sciences and earn a bachelor’s degree education required by some employers for advanced roles.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in health sciences, you may be in a better position to advance to management positions in your department, or potentially change course to a career in community health, health education, or health promotion.
I have a degree in another field
Our program is designed to help you transfer credit from your prior degree program and lessen the time and cost necessary to earn a healthcare bachelor’s degree.
Is a master’s degree in your future?
Students interested in pursuing management or leadership positions in healthcare in the future may be able to start their journey in a health sciences bachelor’s degree program.
Eligible students can earn dual credit towards a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration or Master of Business Administration.
